The first season of Teodore Without The H featured Teodore's character struggling with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) while the second season features Agate, Teodore’s love interest, who has Generalized Anxiety Disorder. In the featured episode, we have access to the anxious thoughts that inhabit Agate as she believes she is witnessing the preparation of a surprise for her lover. When she discovers that the surprise is in fact for her, Agate collapses, the pressure of being able to live up to the expectations of the people she loves is too great to handle. The program is about overcoming our fears, anxieties and mental blockings. Through the use of comedy, the show gives a privileged access inside the brains of people living with anxiety and ADHD and hopes to help them deal with their angst with more humour, levity and positivity, and present solutions to these overwhelming feelings. While more than a quarter of the western world suffers from an anxiety-related disorder, viewers are sure to identify with the character of Agate.
